Rainy Day

So I had a rough start to my week. Chemistry Exams and Papers and such. It was beginning to tire me a lot. Wednesday arrives, and I awoke exceptionally early to get to school. I arrived at the front of the library only to find myself waiting for it to open at 7:30am. It was a bit rainy but I was enjoying the weather. As I wait, a young gentlemen and two of his comrades approach me and we commence in conversation. He states that he recalls my presence in his class a semester before. I couldn't recognize him cause I didn't have my contacts in. He kept talking and I finally remembered. He was a bit quiet when I met him before, but he was a very chill guy and seemed different just like me.

As I acknowledged his previous sighting, he introduces what he had been doing all morning with his two associates, who were all completely wet I must add. He stated that they had made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, twas 30 of them I recall, and that they were passing them out to people out of the goodness of their hearts. Being as old as I am, I sensed something fishy and declined one of the sandwiches, but I thanked him for his hardship. I quickly take out my contacts and put them into my eyes. As all of this was taking place, I heard a distinct melodic flute sound which seemed to come from a corner behind us. We all approached the elder male, who was holding a flute, and began to introduce ourselves. We offered to shake hands, just to present a bodily connection to acknowledge his existence, but he kindly declined and responded with " I don't shake hands, I do this.[makes a gesture with his hands and bows down.]" We offered him a sandwich and he kindly declined as well. As time passed more and more students gathered around the entrance of the library and my new acquaintance decides to create a scene. He loudly calls out all the students in a polite manner to attain their audience, and asks how many have had breakfast , only one girl raises her hand. Then he begins to describe breakfast and how it is quintessential meal of the day. People start to giggle and contemplate on the purpose of this speech. We introduce our PB&J sandwiches, and all but two rather elderly gentlemen, decline. One of the gentlemen stays to discuss the importance of Peanuts and how George Washington Carver cured polio with peanuts. He then gives us a rather interesting history lesson of how Georgia was urbanized due to the peanut. The man leaves us and heads for the library. They traveled away from the library and asked for me to join in their endeavors. I accepted and we went through the rain in search of hungry people. We met some rather funny characters and finally gave away our final sandwich. I bid them farewell and head for the library to study.

My classes finish and I discovered that I got a B on my physics exam, and was truly elated. I got home later that day and went straight to bed. I woke from nap later that afternoon due to a text from a friend who discussed something about a new soccer store. I was interested but tired. I arose and headed for the restroom to wash my face and begin my studies. I got on my computer, and I get a call later that evening from a wonderful friend. She calls me at around 10:35pm and wants to go to the park with me. I felt so bored and thought to myself this might be fun. I put on a jacket a head to the car and pick her up from her house. She was talking to a rather large creature when I saw her, the colossal figure still remains a mystery to me. We head for a local grocery store to fill up my car, search for some stuff, and buy snacks. I drive to the park and we park and find a place to sit. We talk about our days and our plans for the week. She started to light a cigarette and asks me if she could smoke. I told her she shouldn't and we discussed why. She ends up sitting away from me and smoking anyways. I sneak the rest of her cigarettes into my coat pocket without her knowing. We joke about some stuff and I ask her to go for a walk. We walk and talk and I feel this cold breeze just hit me and I just felt so right that night. I had forgotten everything that had occurred before and just felt so free. I had been rather gloomy for the past month or so.

It slowly started to rain but it was more a beautiful and slow rain. We got on the swings and talked about work and some funny stuff that happened. We head back to the car and as we approach my car, the light illuminates her so gorgeously. I realize that she was slightly wet from the rain but she looked so amazing. Completely stunned by her dazzling beauty, all I could say was "oh your wet." She laughs and replies with, "so are you." I hugged her and we headed for the car. I dropped her off at her house and looked at the time only to realize that it was 1:30am. I quickly sped towards my house and tried my best to study and finish my assignments for the evening. I cleaned my room and went through my clothing. I tried to sleep but only found myself contemplating on my future and about her as well. After an hour or so I slowly dosed off and sleep took over.
